    A little visitor to our backyard. I wish I'd had time to get down eye-to-eye, but he left.

    cropped, some PS work in selective sharpening,dodging.
    ISO 200, f5.6, 1/50, 135mm. hand held.

    That's a cute Robin you found here...it looks quite vulnerable. Unfortunately you've mis-focussed the image - it's the plant at left edge that has been focussed properly. Pretty hard to get perfectly sharp images handheld at 1/50s....don't be afraid to bump up the ISO :-)

    Cute image and Daniel has covered it all. I might add though if you could get down on a lower angle this would also strengthen the image. Thanks so much for sharing Hazel as we do not get these beautiful little birds very much in Florida.

    Thanks for comments. Oops. Just checked the camera and realized that in my haste to snap it before it flew away, I'd missed that I had it on a preset, allowing for focus problem. Got to learn to read a lot in a short time to get things set right. Great comments to remind me.
