The desire to get the killer image of tufa in the water blinds many people to the rest of the area. Lillian Roberts and I went past the "usual roads" and found some of the tufa formations exposed on dry land which was exposed as the lake dropped due to water useage by Los Angeles, where I live and water my lawn. This ws shot with my IR conversion 20D, 15mm fisheye, and then I did a blue conversion on the sky.
Steve, interesting color combination! I like the way you set up the image with the tufa leading your eye from the left lower corner to the middle of the image.
Steve, I have been looking at this all day-I like the blue color used in the sky and think it works well w/ the yellow tones in the image -I'm just not sure I like where the yellow overlaps the blue-just my opinion and others may feel differently.I do like your experimenting with color and find it very interesting!! Good work!!
Denise,
This was a quick and dirty job late at night. If I decide to print it, it will be worked properly and without the yellow overlap. I guess too many late hours and not enough sleep lately teamed up to make this a bit less than it could have been.
Thanks for the comments.
Steve
Steve, That explains it-I'm glad the overlap wasn't intentional-and I completely understand the workload thing!!:)I really think you are on to something here!!
