    Heron stands out well against the dark BG. I also like the sense of depth due to the receding perch. Good sharpness and DOF covering the bird. A touch of fill flash may have help open the shaded areas on the neck and legs a little. Good job.

    Lovely posture, and the heron really stands out against the dark BG. Well captured.
