It all started with an Osprey returning to her nest with a big mullet ... then a juvi bold eagle jumped the Osprey and took the fish ... Osprey along with two others (ospreys) jumped the eagle to get the fish back but was dropped..... here comes the vulture :)

Finds the fish on the ground and can't believe its good luck finding a freshly caught fish till the crows showed up .... they were relentless trying to get a piece of the action. Not sure how it ended up sine it flew away after a while trying to escape the crows.

..... it all happened at Flamingo in Everglades National Park

And we all thought Lions and Hyenas were the ones to watch. Here is the real action!! You said three Ospreys jumped the Eagle? I notice ravens fly in packs of 5. I guess the smaller they are the bigger the pack.

It was comical Bill Lots of Osprey nest in the area (eleven that I could see) Once the Juvi eagle jumped the returning bird others came to the rescue. Looked like a WW1 dog fight !!! ... the crows were something else :)

About those Osprey's. I wasn't there, but lots of witnesses related the following story to me. At our ballfield one night, a player was hitting his bat against a light pole when all of a sudden an Osprey came swooping down and as it passed over the ball player it relieved itself at the exact moment of flight to make a direct hit on the ball player. It did this not once but twice. They all said it was something to see. LOL. The Ospreys had a nest at the top of the pole with newly hatched chicks.
