Liked your composition a lot Ed. Nice use of BG foliage to create nice pattern.

Beautiful Ed! I think you got about as good an image as you can from this little flower. I do like the repeating blue on both sides and it really sets off the bright yellow-greens in the image as well.

Diagonal compositions...what a great way to shoot florals!

    Well done Ed,
I like the composition, image and capture...the dept of field and the selective focus point is superb...the color rendition is very good...I like the soft pastel feel to this one...

Like the purple and green together Ed, and how the leaves are going on a diagonal too. Pretty sharp for HH and 1/30s. Looking forward to seeing more of your wildflowers.

    Ed:

I think you succeeded perfectly in making this little Grape Hyacinth look interesting and beautiful. I love this image. The diagonal lines are the first thing I noticed--they give the photo a dynamic feeling. The colors was the second thing I noticed--saturated just right. The shaprly focused Grape Hyacinth was the third--gorgeous detail. The parallel lines and colors in the BG was the fifth--they mirror the flower in focus without detracting from it. Just lovely!!
