I think of all the resident birds we have in Fl. cattle egrets display about the most dramatic transformation when in breeding plumage. Considering removing the intersecting stick but haven't gotten around to it since I created the image this evening.

Edit: My apologies to Mike Godwin for not initially stating this was taken at Gatorland. For all he does to make this a photography friendly place that's the least I can do.

I like the pose a lot Mike !!! You are correct on the transformation and it doesn't last long !!!

Very good looking bg and good color rendition. Might only tone down the feathers around the face area I like it a lot !!!

Great colours, pose and BG. Could maybe back the sharpening off the head plumes a little. Well done, Mike.

    Well done Mike.

On this monitor view I do see what others have spoken of in regards to sharpening.

Lovely pose, well exposed, and stands out nicely against the BG. Well captured Mike.

Wonderful background that sets this off for me. Love that pose; though I feel the bottomn is just too tight for my taste. Thanks for posting. :)

Repost if only to acknowledge that I really appreciate the feedback and suggestions I receive on BPN.

Removed the stick, less sharpening and desaturated the blacks out of the dark green splotches.
