    Default Bluebird in the snow

Well unfortunately we are still getting snow up here. Fortunately it can add an interesting element to an image. I decided to spend some time with some of my local Bluebirds and came away with a few images.

    Hi Mike!

Great job in photographing such detail and sharpness in the windy/snowy conditions! I think the diagonal snow adds a lot, as well as the earth tones complementing the bird.

Mike, due to the blowing snow I can feel the cold and the bent branches makes me feel the strong wind. This image tells a great story and is well handled. Good backround also....

That looks really cold, when Im in lovely heat of 29deg C in sunny South Africa. I like how the falling snow is parallel to the slanting perch. The little guy is nice and sharp. Well captured Mike.

Lovely colour palette and textures here, Mike. As noted the snow really adds to this image.

I love snow or rain falling in pictures, it adds a nice touch and it works well here. Very nicely done, Mike, only wish for a bit more room at the right.

I think it is great Mike. Great comp, nicely based bird and flowerheads. Though I feel a touch more room in the URC would have given you the perfect rule-of-thirds set-up with the bird and the flowerheads at opposite intersecting points. The snow is a huge bonus. Really, a great capture. :)
