    Default Horned Grebe

I photographed this little Horned Grebe at one of our local marinas. I get a lot of reflections there, but I also can get close to the birds--:) This is a different reflection for sure. I also have other images with the full reflection of the bird (but not this exact water reflection). I found the full reflection a little distracting as it is too clear in the still water for my taste and opted for this view.

    Bonnie,

Great details for 2x and hand holding. I liked the head turn and eye contact. Very nice pose.

White band in the water is kind of iffy. Also looks like you got a strong reflection and including full reflection might have made this image more interesting.

Beautiful detail Bonnie and the eye contact is excellent as well as the framing of this image. My only nit is the white band to the left which is a bit distracting. The waterdroplets on the neck is a real bonus !!! Thanks for sharing.

Great details, angle and pose. I would prefer a vertical crop since the white band is too distracting for my taste.

    Just gorgeous !
Wonderful pose and detail and great job with the exposure.

Looks like it could use some CCW rotation.

Beautiful image, Bonnie. A nice subtle detail is that the water droplets mirror the shape of his neck. Agree that the white stripe doesn't add anything.

Repost of the image minus the white reflection.
