This image was created by using bait. Well, in reality, these guys being one of the most common, raucus yet stunning Australian parrots found in just about any town along the north and east coast and in Perth, all one has to do is have the right mixture of native plants such as this bottlebrush in their yard. I caught this little noisy fellow eating nectar in my front yard yesterday morning. It's 06:37 Monday morning now and ther are a few there still, feeding and screeching away. :D

Beautiful colors, good details and setting. I might tone down the highlights a bit and maybe remove the OOF branch sticking out of the head. I wouldn't mind having noisy neighbors like this one. :)

Great colour and very nice composition. I love the 3D effect created by the angle of shot. Nice to see the bird with his natural environment too.
On my screen, the sheen on the head looks a bit too bright...

Akos nice capture of a beautiful bird. I never got this close during my two very shot trips to Sydney nearly 10 years ago but I remember seeing them in the Botanical Gardens. Hopefully someday I'll get another chance.

I wish a parrot would come and visit my bottlebrush. Great sighting for a garden, and this guy is really colourful. Well captured Akos.

Good job Akos. I have photographed these Lorikeets in the same type of bottlebrush while walking down the road in Cairns - not such a good angle as you have here though. Agree with Axel on toning down the highlights.

Thanks guys. I kind of thought the highlights particularly on the face were a bit hot. This BPN is great! :)
