I was using our cat Cherie as a model this afternoon while patiently waiting for Spring to arrive in order to do some landscape photography. She was tolerant though I'm sure I disturbed her afternoon snooze.

Beautiful, Richard. Everything about the way you composed this draws me right to her beautiful eyes. I have to show this to my cat, James. Every time I try to take his picture he leaves. LOL
Great image of Cherie!!! Agree with Al, you did a great job with these settings! Love the star shaped catch light from the flash - and then there's that look..not quite "get away from me" but pretty close!!!!
LOL, yes they are and very persuasive... "get me food, get me food now." We have a sign hanging in the kitchen that reads "Cats and their housekeeping staff live here." How true it is. :)
Thanks to everyone who commented.. Cherie is a very affectionate and playful cat. Initiates play by tapping or wrapping herself around my leg and then runs up the stairs expecting me to chase and find her. That's fairly easy as her behind is usually sticking out from underneath the bed. :) She sleeps curled up by our heads every night.
