    Flower week and I just went to the botanical garden this morning! Perfect timing!!! (And no, I didn't know about it in advance.) :D

    This is one of the orchids on display today in the conservatory. I didn't do such a great job of getting the focus perfect so I applied a dry brush effect from the filter gallery and then did a quick levels adjustment with a dose of sharpening.

    Jules, Perfect timing and perfect composition! I love all the curved lines and the linen white look.

    Julie..love this..is this a Tiger Lily.....if you flip the left flower it looks like a tigers face....

    Paul, that is WILD!!! No, not a tiger lily - but I guess we could call it a tiger orchid!

    This is symmetry in motion...:) well done Julie, I like the compositional balance offered by these two lovely ladies...the image is spot on as far as the exposure goes...the color rendition is very good, with sharp details complimented by the sundry textures...well done...proud of you...:cool:

    great save, jules!! i took it and flipped it 180 degrees to put the tiger's faces right side up. it's pretty scary!!!!
