    This has got to be, if not one of the most beautiful, certainly one of the gaudiest tanagers in the world. I absolutely love them!!!

    I agree, they are absolutely gorgeous birds! Lovely clean green background and soft light. Do wish there was separation between the bird and the back branch, but getting the birds on clean perches can be challenging in the rainforest. I think that pointing the camera down just a bit so that the fork on the upper part of the branch would not show would have been good compositionally. I would crop to there and remove the lighter colored small branch at the top right.
