I like the head angle, BG and details. You could have stopped down more for wider DOF and I would give it a bit more room at the bottom. I think the bird is a Brown Thrasher.

    Yes, Brown Thrasher it is.

Finds insects by digging with bill, hence the dirty beak.

Hi Jeff - lots to like here - good head angle, sharp eye and eye contact - a complimentary BG and sharp.
Agree with a bit more space at the botom - good show:)

Hi Jeff, good HA and BG. Think the eye could use some selective sharpening and agree on a bit more room at the bottom. Good job.

I like it a lot Agree with your tech settings More dof would be good but I'm more concerned with the bg so would have gone wide open also.

Head angle is good, image sharp and well exposed Only a natural perch could have made a stronger image!!!!

Jeff, I think you did a great job with this one. It's well exposed and the details are very nice!! Well done.

    Hi Jeff,
I like the composition, image and capture, I would like to see more room at the bottom...the background does not bother me; as a matter of fact, I would like to see it even more blurred, with the lens aperture wide open...good show...keep them coming...

Great looking bird Jeff. :) Shame about that perch and no wonder if you cropped as tight as possible. Never mind. It is a beauty!
