It's a pitty, that I am so busy with working at the moment and I have nearly no time to join the BPN... :( Hopefully it will be better in a couple of weeks. :)

I want to show you this little guy.
I made the picture with my Mark III,
    Canon 500mm + 1.7 TC
    f 5.6 / 1/640 sec / ISO 500

    Comments and Critique very welcome!
Thanks for looking at my picture! :)

Sorry, in the preview I can see some artifacts in the BG, wich is nice and soft in the original; I tried to make this better, but I can't really remove them:(

Good to see you here any time :)
Lovely action captured. I don't go crazy by the broken perch but I know those sticks used by the bird in the wild ;) Bg is very pleasant for the bird.

Great pose and the open beak adds to it. The perch is not ideal and there are some artifacts in the BG. I might sharpen the bird a tad more and crop a bit off the top.

Funny title! I really like the pose here. The broken snag is unfortunate. Most of the contour of the bird and perch has a peculiar softness to it...did you selectively mask the subject to then blur the BG?

Rosl I love the pose, open beak and slightly spread wings. There does seem to be a soft halo around the bird.

Really cute pose and the bg is very complimentary. The halo has been mentioned. Nice capture.

    Good capture IMO.

I am not sure about the halo mentioned as the one I see on bottom right of bird seems to be from soft feathers and I do know these fluff up when strutting.

Lovely pose with the open beak. I agree to maybe take some off the top.

Super pose and BG here Rosl. Negatives noted, but still a great pleasing image.
Love the open beak with open wing.
