With all the snow we have been getting lately, the rivers should be pretty full this spring! This was taken last June at the Whitewater Park in Golden, Colorado. I enjoy shooting kayakers because of the action and the great facial expressions you can get. Thanks for looking.

Great action and love the tight crop !!! Must be fun !!

Got a suggestion Dan If you could pick an area that will be all (mostly) whitewater might want to stop all the way down (max) and crank up the ISO as high as you need for getting the proper shutter speed. There will be little or no noise since the image will all be white but will have great dof. We do just that for blasting birds on the beach ... sometimes end up with 6400 ISO :)

    Nicely done Dan,
Good advise given by Mr. Forns...I like the capture angle and the exploding of the water all over the place...good show...

Thanks for the suggestion! Will try that when the kayaking starts again.

The Saco River here in Limington Maine is a ragging torrent of white water in the Spring run off. Kayakers flock to this site like flies on ice cream! Sounds like a job for "Super Canon Man". Thanks for the idea Dan and the advice Alfred. I love the face on this guy. Terror!
