Default Green Basilisk a.k.a. "Jesus Lizard"

I created this image in March while visiting the La Tirimbina Nature reserve in Costa Rica. This male was resting in the foliage and there this was the best angle that I had to use.

    Canon 40D, Sigma 50-500mm at 266mm on Manfroto monopod - ExposureTime - 1/100 seconds
F 8, ISO 640. Image cropped to about 60% of full frame

I like that golden-yellow eye and the raised crests. Interesting to note how the spots on the body look a bit like the spots on the leaves.

Thank you Nate and Steve. Yes this lizard was well suited to hide out in amongst these leaves.
