    Early morning you normally add light but in this case just had the right exp for the bg and used flash as main light for the bird and tree. Slow shutter speed is normally not a problem since the flash will help with sharpness. These settings will get you som neat looking bg !!!

    500 f4.0 IS
    f 5.6 1/125 sec
    ISO 800
    Flash as main set manually
    Exp 0 comp off sky bg

    The light purple color of the background rocks...I love it...It also goes quite well with the greens of the palm leaves...and your bird is icing on the cake...well composed and executed...I like the feel on this one...congrats...:cool:

    Absolutely love the colors! Really cool!

    See a bit of lighter line down right side of bird (head to shoulder) ?
