    Thanks to you guys critique I think I have a keeper. I was out on the lake for 2 1/2 hours, shot 88 frames (18 of this series) and this one is the only one that will go to print. I did all the usual sharpening and cropped as tight as I could and then added canvas to the right. There were 30-40 in a tree sitting lakeside and I isolated this one. I like the eye and beak profile and the wrinkles of the stretched out fish pouch and a rare glimpse of those big paddles.

    I like the head angle and open bill. If you have more room at the bottom then it would be great if the tail were not clipped. I might increase contrast and saturation a few points.

    Hi Bill just the tail ... got way much lens there :) !!!

    I like the placement, open mouth and exposure !! .. a little lower angle would have been nice Sure like the pretty bg !!!
