Here are a few shots I had taken last summer at a local wetland park nearby.

    Thanks for looking

Welcome to BPN, James! Please post only one image per thread, I fixed it for you. I like the details and head angle in this one. You could try to tone down the highlights a bit. Keep them coming!

Welcome, James. Good post. I like the pose and plumage details. Including the techs (camera, lens,ISO, aperture, SS, metering etc) with the post can help in getting more constructive feedback on the image.

    Hello and Thanks.

I apologize Axel I wasn't aware of multiple postings in same thread anyhow thanks for correcting my error.

    Tony,

Here is the exif on the photo I wasn't aware of my ISO setting until I just pulled it but wow. i was shooting in the wetlands and in the back it gets alot of cover and I have to up my ISO to get the proper shutter speed needed with the lens to get those sharp images.

    ISO 1000
    AV 5.6
    shutter was 1/3200
Lens used was Canon 400mm 5.6
    Camera used is 1DMKIII

More images can be seen here if you all like.

Other than toning down the highlights, I wonder if you could blur the stem behind the bird. I think it would not stand out as much.
