Some of you may have seen one of my fave Pelican flight shots to date. This is another of the sequence when Mr Jumbo Jet came too close to fit into the frame, so I tried to my best ability at that time. I cropped from horizontal and it is a full height image. A bit underexposed, and I would love to see HOW I could get a better result in the PP.

    30D, 300mm f/4L IS USM + 1.4x, ISO400, f/5.6, 1/800th, +2/3 comp. Captured February 23, 2007.

I wish the light were better. :(

Do I see a blue cast?

Hi Akos - love that mouth open pose - agree its a bit under exposed - have you used any shadow/highlight in your post processing???
Looks a little soft on my screen as well.

Heres a quick and simple way to get rid of the cast ---- http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ead.php?t=7752

Wouldnt mind seeing the original with no PP. :)

    Hey Akos,
I like the capture on this one, and the hard banking on the flight angle...This is one crazy, goofy bird, but you gotta love them...I like the open mouth...I agree with Mr. Peters' and Lady Denise's assessment of your composition...I'm looking forward to your next one...good show...

Great capture Akos. do see a little of the blue cast, but who cares when you have this shot.
Like the way you fixed and framed the shot.
