    Love to hear the 'gators bellow. This was at Corkscrew yesterday. (The birding's great there, too.) I'm wondering if the leaves in the water are too distracting.

    Canon 40D, 1/250, f/5.6, Canon 100-400 IS at 280 mm.

    More than the leaves, which are OK with me, is the image seems to be a bit soft, or perhaps it might be a curves adjustment to bring the contrast more in line. I like your choice of pose. the head out of the water is fresh approach. I definitely think your idea bears more efforts to try once again. I never made it to Corkscrew. Please keep posting and trying. Just my 2 cents worth. :)

    I agree that a bit moe contrast would help a lot. I like the eye. The leaves are OK with me.

    I like the way the dark water really brings out the subject. The leaves do not bother me.
