    Hi:
This is another 2 water drop collision, forming what I perceive as a flower.
    Canon EOS MIII body
    Canon 100mm Macro Lens
    ISO 400
    1/250sec @ f/22
2 Canon 580 Speedlite Strobes, set to manual at 1/64 sec. A pink and blue gel filter.
    Your c/c are appreciated.
    Thanks,
    ~Susan

    Hi Susan,
I like the capture and the long support vertical water column exploding into the flower like formation...a few points to consider...:) I would have liked to have seen the entire ripple pattern, not cut off from the right hand side, also the splash should be centered in frame for a more dramatic impact with balance and symmetry in frame...I took the liberty in modifying your base image to enhance the presentation of this lovely creation. I adjusted the mid-tones to bring out the fine details in the crown of the water burst, adjust the contrast and boosted the saturation to bring out the natural tones and hues. I gave you a sprinkle of selective sharpening on the crown burst and the column and along the contour of the concentric ripples...and ran a low intensity pass of noise reduction in the background...see if this presents best to you...

Hey Susan, Another creative and a technically sound capture. I must say Gus spent a bit of time on this and I like both presentations that are very different from each other. Susan's presentation (to my eye) is more subtle with a softer feel to it with less contrast of color. While Gus's version pops out at you and gives the image more impact. I think this falls in the category of personal taste since both images have qualities I like... Good job!

Good Morning, Denise, Gus & Dave. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. Gus I really like what you did with my image. It really makes it pop. To be honest... at the time I created the image I was going for a more subdued, soft look for it. I even de-saturated it in PS. That was 2 months ago. We had just lost our dog Brandy which was like family to us and clearly my mood is reflected in my work above. Today, I like your version better.
    Thanks,
    ~Susan

Beautiful image, Susan! I like your softness and Gus's colors...together I think you'd get the best of both worlds.
