    Bill,

    Very nice balanced image. I like the head turn and eye contact. Looks like a over cast sky and gray water did not complement subject enough. I would have gone for a head shot with reflection too to make it more interesting.

    I have to disagree with Sid on this image. I think the gray water is a lovely bg for this pelican. Very nice reflection, good pose and head position, and sharp detail. Well done.

    I'm sure is just a mater of taste but I like it as presented Wouldn't change a thing !!! Big Congrats !!!!

    I too like this as presented Bill. Love the BG and find it to be a lovely setting for this capture .

    The silver water is nearly a perfect mirror, I like the original composition shown. The negative space gives editors some options for dropping text.
