    The cattle egrets are busy building their nests along with the tricolors and great white egrets. It was a very high key day.

    Very well done IMO.

    Though they may be here in the summer I don't see them here in the middle of Oregon. F&W site says they are getting to be common too. Your image has has inspired me on a mission to try and locate one locally when summer comes.

    White against white - excellent Judy. Its amazing in an image like this how many shades of whites the naked eye can see. I like the backlighting on the outer wing, and would liked to have seen a bit more detail on this nearer wing. Still, very well exposed, and well captured Judy.

    Hi Judy,
    I am a big fan of high key images, and this one looks great. Very sharp and the bird has beautiful breeding colors.

    Agree with Stuart's comment. As is on my monitor, the near wing looks too smooth...the texture doesn't look right to me. It looks more like marble more than feathers. But I have never seen this bird in real lift so perhaps it does look that way to the naked eyes.
