    Default Canon Digital Learning Center

I am going to guess that at least one other person ;) did not know the information set forth below. I didn't know it until I tripped over it by accident.

Yesterday I asked whether Artie's 50D settings could be applied to the 40D; stupid me I should have realized that somewhere in the past Artie would have provided 40D settings! He did; Peter directed me to this information in one of the archived Bulletins.

OK, off to the Bulletin #268 from August last year - I have been wading through the Bulletins since learning about them - a wealth of information - especially for the beginner to intermediate/probably you advanced guys too!

Reading down through #268 I trip over a new source of information - does all this sensory input every stop  - the Canon Digital Learning Center: http://www.usa.canon.com/dlc/controller?act=HomePageAct

Actually I backed into all of this because I started with Artie's link and went backwards to see where it led.

From Home page you go to Tips and Techniques; from T&T you go to .... well there are actually several ways to get there ... anyway you go to the bottom of the page and make your choices, for example, product - shooters insight - 40D, and you get Artie's video.

Everybody's camera and lots of other stuff is there too. More videos and tutorials from Canon than you can shake a stick at!

So, after you finish reading all of Arties's Archived Bulletins, Roger's website tutorials, all the books and magazines you have bought, viewing all of the DVDs you have bought or borrowed from the library, and all of the new posts on BPN teaching us everything from A to Z (152 just today), here is something else to fill your spare time :D:D

The Canon USA site has product info, including Acrobat versions of the instruction manuals. When you want to review your camera, pull up the manual on your monitor and it is much easier to read (while holding your camera body to follow along) than the small printed manual. Here's the link:

The Canon Europe Professional site has additional good info. Here's the link:

And last, Canon "EOS" magazine is published in the UK. It's very well done and also has a good web site:

    Enjoy!
