    Made this image this evening after work.



    1DmkIIn, 500 4L IS, 1.4 TC, ISO 500, EV 0, 1/250 @ f5.6, SUV as blind, Beanbag, Cropped to vertical from horizontal.

    Nice one!
    Nice light, great pose and head angle with a lovely perch and BG.

    For my taste, might like to see the bird a bit more to the right
    (as above or something in between).
    Also appears to be a tad oversharpened on my monitor.

    I like the detail. Sharpening on my monitor looks good. I think you did a good job of holding the whites while getting good black detail.

    I like it.
    I have shot the Carolina many times here but have not captured it as well as this.
    Although centered the included entire twig gives it a reason.
    The texture of the twig helps the feeling of the image.
    Oh well Ill keep trying !

    I agree that the texture of the twig stands out nicely against that BG. Sharpness looks good to me as well, congrats!
