    This is another image of the same bird I posted a couple of days ago. With this shot I managed use the trunk of a huge Karri tree as the background. From the south west of Western Australia

    Tack sharp photo. Only suggestion I could make is to crop out just enough (on the right) to get rid of the break in the bark. The break draws my eye away from the main subject.

    Nice head-on with this fellow Tony. Maybe it is the bright tree trunk in the BG, but that seems to make the bird look a little flat. I would be tempted to try and increase the saturation a few points.
    :) Also, I think a vertical would work probably a little better. Thanks for posting.

    Emotion makes a great image and this "I'm looking at you" has a lot of character. Cheers mate

    Good details and BG. Another vote for a vertical crop and I wish for a better head angle.
