I'm learning quite a bit about the do's and don't of bird photography. Now I am being far more critical of my older work. Not sure about this one but here it goes.
i like the crop. a little out of the box and i like that type of thing. only the mixed light hurt you a little but not bad. you got the eye in the sun and that saved it! nice job!!
Actually, I like the composition and details. It is a bit too contrasty and I find the shadows a bit distracting. Is this a captive bird? Please include the techs when you post an image.
Sorry. Keep forgetting about the techs. This is it. I was still shooting Jpeg back then. Yes this is a captive bird. I was not sure about it so the feedback will help me plan better for future shots. I don't know what I am doing with head shots. Thanks for the tips.
