The King - after taking bath

Got this Little Blue Kingfisher waiting for it's meal; it was trying for it's luck again and again. Was really a co-operative bird!

    Shot at 600mm, F/5.6, ISO 800 (Canon 40D + Canon 600mm tele) with a tripod support on a boat.

Very beautiful species with gorgeous color and excellent detail. It does look a tad over sharpened on my monitor though. Great BG, pose and eye contact. IMO it would be very nice in a vertical if you have sufficient canvas to Have more room at the bottom and less on the left. Even as a horizontal it would be good to have a little more canvas at the bottom. Congratulations on a beautiful image Santanu.

I like the details, BG and eye contact. I would desaturate the legs a few points and run noise reduction on the background. Keep them coming!

The comp looks fine to me, and agree the BG needs a bit of NR, which in turn will enhance this image. The colours look well exposed too. Well captured Santanu.
