Nice scene you got to witness. The lizard had no chance!! If the bird was uninterested in you and very cooperative you could have gotten a bit higher to rid the OOF stuff close to the bill. A bit of eye work could be done too (e.g. lighten the iris). Pretty cool!

Great capture of this moment. I agree regarding the OOF flowers in the foreground.

Sharp with a cool prey item. If you could have moved the vehicle forward say 3 inches it would likely have minimized the effect of the o-o-f stuff in front of the bird's upper breast. Otherwise a great job of getting through the grasses. Were you by yourself or with a group?

Thanks for your comments, I agree entirely about the foreground. Unfortunately the Goshawk was moving about a lot chasing the Lizzard, I have some shots with no action where needless to say there is little interference from grass etc.
We were in a private vehicle just 3 of us plus our guide, but I just could not get the right angle. I did not want to move about too much for fear of scaring the bird. I did not know what is was eating until I took a look on the screen and I have no ideas as to how too get rid of the offending flowers and grasses, any answers would be most welcome.
