    Hi Steve,
I picked up this book a few months ago. If you are like me, having no prior exposure to photoshop and an interest solely in nature photography, then I would definately recommend it. I gave it an in-depth read when I first received it and used it regularly for the first month, and now refer to it occassionally for specific tasks. It's very well written and logically organized, and even gave some good pointers on photo technique. After becoming more comfortable with photoshop I purchased Artie's Digital basic file: http://www.birdsasart.com/digitalbasics.htm, and that has helped me immensely.

Stephen I would give Arties Digital Basics a try It is well written and simple to use. Will not bog you down.

After getting to know your way around would try others and Adobe CS4 for Nature Photographers is a good one.
