I figured you guys could help since there are so many good landscape photographers in this forum.
Should this be cropped? Is it too soft to save?

Denise, landscapes are not my area of expertise but here's my $.02. I'd take some off the top, perhaps 1/3rd of the sky and then I'd try to open the shadows a bit before sharpening. I like the composition.

Agree with Katie and would suggest tweaking the contrast. Seems there is lots of mid tone range but nothing much on either side Do like the image a lot !!!

    Lady Denise,
I like the composition and capture...:) I recommend cropping 1/4 from the top and opening up the mid-tones in the greens and blues...good show...

Denise, I love your pic. Some times I'm a little wild with my processings , but these are my two cents!

i, by no means, am a landscape pro. but this is my take on it. i didnt want to destroy the feel you had to it. just a selective contrast adjustment to the bg elements. and a slight crop.

Love the light Denise and the vista. Added black in selective colour (+3), increased the vibrance (which I think pops thie mid-tones a bit and just a little saturation. Cropped as well. Just some IDA's:) Definitely a keeper. If you use ACR have some landscapes sharpening settings you might want to try:
    AMT 40
    Radius .8
    Detail 50
    Masking 0
Didn't see Harold's post , I think we were working on it at the same time:)

Wow you guys rock!! I love all three!! Great job-Jose you really brought out the details nicely!
Harold, I love it- the crop is fantastic!
Jackie, I love the tweaks-looks great! You and Harold are on the same page!!
I thought I'd wait to see what you guys came up with as far as the crop before I tried any adjustments-but now I see your adjustments and they are really great!!

I would crop as much sky as possible and maybe even the foreground a little to make it more pano. I love the light and colors here. :)

Denise, this is a very nice scene.....I took a few things to almost extreme,
but it was a fun play. May not be to taste of some, but I like.

    Dis a little dodge/burn on 50% gray layer......soft light.
Then some color selective saturations....refined with sponge tool.
    Local contrast enhancement @ 12/50/0

The foreground may be too bright

Hope you find some merit in it.

Better late than never. For what it's worth I like it the way you presented it.
Although all the re post are vey good, it's all up to individual taste.
    Congrats D.
