The tricolors are nest building now and the action has increased with their flying back and forth .

    Judy:

An attractive bird, nice breeding colors. I like the separation of the legs, and their upcurved toes.

The exposure looks good, pretty sharp too. I might add just a little canvas to the right.

In a perfect world, a better head angle would be nice, and perhaps a little more bank towards you to show the rear wing more fully.

It sounds like you will get some more chances! What a luxury to have multiple chances!

    Cheers

Pretty neat pose, and I like the trailing feet. Lovely breeding colours on the face! On my monitor it looks heavy on the sharpening, with a resulting noticeable halo surrounding the subject.

    Daniel:

Interesting about the sharpening halo. I went back and looked at it again, still can't see it. Which machine are you using, your desktop or laptop?

The pose, breeding colors and BG make this one for me. I think there is a slight sharpening halo.

Beautiful sharp capture! I love the breeding colors. It does seem a bit oversharpened, though. I can see the halo mostly along the trailing edge of the far wing.

Here is a repost with a tad less sharpening. Many thanks for all the comments and for taking the time to make them. I appreciate it.

    Hi Judy!

I think this is a very pretty, artistic pose. I also like the pale pastel blue/pink background.
