    This is the best I could get before the little guy came and stood so close that I couldn't focus.

    Handheld laying on the ground.

    Cropped and sharpened - little tight at the bottom.

    fantastic pose, lance! he does seem to have an attitude. as to say hey, why not the sigmonster!!:D

    love those blue tones in the cheek feathers. would a splash of flash help any at all?

    Hey Mr H - sigmonster was a bit to heavy for this trip - thought about flash but with him being so close didn;t want to blind him -- LOL :)

    I like this photo. Often head-on shots can create a look of anger or show the bird in an unattractive manner. You demonstrates its beauty, nice work.

    Nice bird Lance, love the colours. And he does look pretty puffed up with self-importance.
