    Default Canon EOS 50D Setup

    Artie's blog - http://www.birdsasart-blog.com/ - contains his recommended settings for a 50D.

Artie, to what extent can those of us with a 40D utilize those settings until we upgrade to the 50/60D :D ?

Thanks Peter, that is going to help me immensely during my transition from the 40D to the 50+D; perhaps I will stay with the 40D and only get the 5DII/III :-)

Lately, reading all the wonderful things about the 50D both here and in Artie's bulletins including the recent explanation of the difference between the DIGIC 3 and 4, to open this bulletin and read:

"The 40D is an amazing camera and an even more amazing value for both hobbyists and serious nature photographers and makes a great lightweight/back-up option for working professionals like myself. I love my 40D and will continue using it for quite some time to come. "

causes one to ask when do you stop upgrading and use what you have?

Just as the 50D is apparently a major jump from the 40D in many areas, one wonders what will the 60D offer over and above the 50D?

Only time and Father Canon will tell :)

ps: I have no clue as to why the 50D seems to me to focus so much better than the 40D.
