On arrival at the estuary yesterday morning shortly after sunrise I noticed this distant patch of ground mist above the water.
    Details: Pentax K10D with 70-300 Tamron @ 300mm.
    400 ISO 1/500 @ F5.6.
    About 1/3 cropped.

Looks like you had some nice rich brown tones to greet you here. And some warm light. I like the pleasing composition. Perhaps the far background could use some levels and curves to brighten them up?

Nice use of the curve in the water to lead the eye into the image. The trees leaning left also strengthen that flow into the image. Good use of layering (water, grass, trees) to add depth to the image. Fog and light quality add the final touches.

    Hi Ian,
I do like the layers and mist as well as the golden colors.....I may tone down some of the brighter twigs/branches in the BG....especially on the R side. I have thought about a further crop off the top....to even further emphasize the mist. Nice layers in this one.

    Thanks Roman
This cropped image was taken 10 seconds after previous one and emphasis in editing with contrast rather than levels in the other one.
Think it might show up the mist a bit better.
    Cheers: Ian Mc
