Hi Rene, I have the 3531 LS - I'm 5'9" and I've only once extended the legs full (had a peregrine falcon up a tree). I just checked, and with the legs extended, and the 600mm lens on the gimbal head the viewfinder is about 6' from ground when level. From a usage point of view, this tripod is incredible - lsuper stable, light, transportable and I love the single twist locks on the legs. I bought this about 8 months ago, and am still kicking myself that I never bought it sooner. If you have any specific questions, let me know but if the height is good for you, this tripod is a no brainer especially if you can get a deal on it!
    Good luck
    George
