    Default Black-headed Gull

The spot metering was by accident.
Adjusting levels, clone out a bird at the bottom, sharpen part of the wing, body and head of the bird and cropped.
The shadows are a bit distracting, any suggestion on how to deal with them? Any comments on other part are also welcome and appreciated.

You can probably clone over the shadow on the left wing. Very nice capture with the wing up! Well done. Prrobably crop a bit more form the bottom as well. :) Thanks for sharing.

Best way to deal with shadows is lining up on sun angle to avoid !!! You could do some heavy PS work and get rid off but the image looks very pleasing !! Good pose and real sharp !!! ... glad the spot was a mistake :)

I like it as presented...:) you display fine, sharp details, good color rendition...a good head angle, with a crystal clear shar eye...the raised wing position is a plus and the baby blue sky showcases your bird quite well...congrats...well done...

like it as it is - all points covered above - the main one being lining the sun up behind you.
Good job - looking forward to seeing more :)
