    I did this with backlit, fisheye, with f/22 to get the star burst. I blended to exposures to get some color in the foreground.
    Used warmth and brilliance and graduated neutral density filter in Nik Color Efex to add punch.

    D300, 10.5/2.8 fisheye
    Av at f/22
    -1/3 Ev to avoid burning the sun too much, a bit dark in foreground.

    This is outstanding. Great idea and composition.I like the way you used the flare as part of the image.

    Truly inspired, Fabs. I agree with Steve about the inclusion of the flare - and with the rays of the sun pointing right at them - only you could figure out an appealing way to use this to advantage. You are an inspiration as always!! Bud
