Another one from my spring break trip to the Texas coast. Taken just before the sun came up.

Love the deatil of the feathers here. Nice eye contact. the Lower part of the neck appears softer and may have a little more noise in it, dont know if some selective sharpening there would hurt or help it.

    Trey:

I obviously like reds, and this is a nice looking one. Agree with Dan about the feather detail, always like the spikey hairdo.

I might crop up just a little from from the bottom, and add just a bit of canvas to the left.

    Cheers

    Randy

Trey, I love the pose and head angle, feathers look good-do see a bit of noise in neck area-but not much. Well done!

Great hairdo, head angle and soft light. I might sharpen the bird a little bit more.

Incredible detail Trey. I feel your comp is just fine, but would maybe do some selective sharpening on the wing below. Still, well captured.

    Hi Trey,
Nice studio type feel to image.
I personally would not worry about the shoulder and only consider slight sharpening in face and neck feathers, but that might get rid of the overall feel to the image. Try it and then judge accordingly.
    Have a great spring break.
    Chas.

Thanks all, I will play with some sharpening and see how it turns out.

Even though I am not a fan of white BG's, this is very complementary for your subject. Lovely details and pose.
