I came across this snowy resting on a rock at Ding Darling last week. I don't see them often sitting down like this. I used my Sony A100 with a Sigma 50-500 lens. The data as follows, f/11, 1/320, -1.0 ev, 160mm, ISO 100. Thanks for looking all C&C's welcomed, John

Hi John - cant say I have ever seen one sitting down - Head angle is good. God job rarely seen pose.
Looks a tad soft on my screen - could use some more sharpening to Mr Snowy - would also give the eye a bit extra. not sure your point of focus was on the eye area?

Would crop some from the top and RHS.

    Keep em coming :)

Lance is right on with suggestions !!!!

btw I have seen GBH and Wood Storks sitting doing this behavior .. not sure what are they up to? As presented you can select the eye and do some work ... will appear sharper !!!

Nice capture John. Like the leaf in there too. Sharpening of the eye would make the whole image look sharper. 375/.4/0 is what Artie uses in Unsharp Mask. (USM)

    Hi John,
I like the composition, never seen one with this pose before. Agree with Mr. Peters on the techs. Looking forward to your next one...
