    A member of a small pack in the Kruger National Park.

    Canon 1ds mk2, Canon 500 mm lens, ISO 400, 1/1250 @ f8.0, manual exposure (ambient light metering).

    Michael,

    Attractive tight portrait and pleasing blurred BG just right. I would suggest opening up the shadows some to reveal more detail and do a selection of the eyes and lighten them more as well as selectively sharpen them.

    Well done.

    Super eye contact, and you were very lucky to get a sighting of these guys, as they tend to be fairly scarce. Well captured Michael

    Nice portrait. I agree about opening the shadows to get more eye contact.

    I would say Robert makes some fine points here. Also, might a head lift made a difference too? Either way, you came away with a very good image. Love the eyes and the stare.

    I agree with the above comments regarding opening up the shadows. You wer also lucky to get a dog without a lot of scarring or torn ears, I think it must be one of last year's as it still looks a little young.
