    Is this considered a pancake?
I did minimal PP and this is a very little crop-Would like to know if this wing position is okay before I work on this.

it's close denise. i like the top side view. not really a pancake, but i think a little more showing would be better. i think the big killer here is the lack of light on the face and neck. will be interesting to see what the troops have to say about it.

Looks good to me Denise. I like the wings like this but I guess I am in the minority. The BG is beautiful. Looks nice and sharp too.

Hi Denise, I agree with Harold's assessment that light is the issue here. I actually like some pancake views.

    Hi Lady Denise,
I like the capture, the details and colors on the upper wing are beautiful...agree with the Doctor on the shadow cast...a flash would have helped...:)...besides this, I like it...

Hi Denise - IMHO its close - but the topdown view sort of saves it - as MR H mentioned more of a issue is the light on the face and neck - do like the placement in the frame :)

.... not a pancake but a two stack :) Agree with Harold the main problem is the light Having the darker neck takes from the image !! In these cases the bird banking is the only savior !!!

btw one of the main reason for flight photography you need to ingredients ... light direction and wind direction .. when you get both its field day time !!!!

I like it D, even though it's a two stack. Great details and the fact that you can see the top of the bird saves it from being a pancake.
    Congrats

I don't mind the pose. Agree though about the light. IMHO some good light would have made this a winner.
