    A pair of goosanders were fishing near me, I took a lot of pictures of them and suddenly the female
    came up with this perch. Interresting to see how well the bill works.



    Canon eos 1D mkIII, EF 500/4 IS @7,1, 1/320 sec (+2/3 expcomp), ISO 400.

    That's quite a set of "teeth" on this bird! Really great action with the fish and good exposure. I think I would prefer more of a horizontal crop as I don't think all of the extra space at the bottom helps the image.

    Great moment captured, I like the angle and soft light. Another vote for a crop off the bottom. This might work as pano crop as well.

    Hmmmm... I´m very fond of that foreground...:cool:
    But i made a quickcrop at Flickr, do you think its better ?

    Looks definitely better, I would probably crop more off the top and bottom to emphasize the action.

    Great capture. I would still take more off the bottom, and maybe more off the top too. Axel's suggestion of a pano will work, but still a great catch for both of you.
