    This is the pale morph of the Cuban race. Sitting on a roadside pole and digiscoped with a Sony DSC-W5 and Kowa 773 scope with a 30x WA eyepiece. (screw-in adapter jammed into the rubber cup of the eyepiece and hand-held while depressing the shutter).

    ISO 100, 1/500, f5.6.

    IQ looks iffy, but quite passable considering this is digiscoped (and technique used). Not the best perch, but I'm sure you knew that. Never realized there were different "morphs" of American Kestrals, but I do see that it is quite pale. Thanks for sharing this guy :-)

    It really does look quite light for a kestrel. Great to see both eyes, I agree with Daniel regarding details and perch.
