fantastic pose and bg, kurt. the perch is a little big for that bird, but not bad. it's tack sharp, but seems a little flat? maybe some flash would have spiced it up a little?

Hi Kurt - lovely bird - agree with M H - perch sort of overpowers the bird - doesn't look flat on my screen - might desat the yellows just a tad. Like the head angle and the background and nice and sharp.

    Keep em coming :)

Nice and sharp indeed! :) A bit tighter crop from the bottom would probably be better. Agreed about perch! :)

    Nice shot, beautiful background.
Not a expert, but may be a Pine warbler.

Nice details and tack sharp! The perch is a bit overpowering as noted-Beautiful BG!

    Hi Kurt,
A fine capture indeed...agree with the techs. and the good advise...I recommend on cropping the perch 1/4 from the bottom...

Really nice shot! Sharp, good exp, comp, BG is very nice! I too think that this is a Pine Warbler. The white undertail coverts and belly rule out Yellow Warber.

I think Dan and Raul are correct, looks more like the pics of Pine Warblers now that I've been clued in to look at them :) Thanks all!

What a colour of yellow! Maybe removing a bit of perch from the bottom would put more emphasis on the warbler. BG is great too. Hope you get some more chances to photo this beautiful bird.
