    Some old mining gear at Bodie.

    Converted to sepia tone in Silver Efex, where I also added the vignette and burnt edges. Added in some grain in CS4 to maintain the antique look.

    I like it but think it could have been even better...

    If you had stepped to the right side a bit more and taken the image so the left side of the equipment was a bit ahead of the right side I think the angle would have added even more interest than the "heads on" view.

    I also think a bit more light tones and a bit more dark tones wouldn't hurt - I know you're going for the old authentic feel here but it feels a bit heavy in the midtones to me.

    Really nice job on the conversion...would just like to see a bit more of a tonal range is all.

    Kerry, I think this really does feel lke an old image-I like the added grain and agree with Julie on the tonal range. I think the burnt edges is a neat effect but may be a bit heavy. Nicely seen!

    agree with earlier comments. I'd tone down the vignette...
