    Default Our First Snail Kite

This image is from our first trip to Florida looking for birds. Birds are a new area for us and we would appreciate any feedback you may can give.

The image was taken at 400mm, 1/1000 second, f5.6, ISO400. We would appreciate your thoughts on improvements. Thanks Jo and Phil

Nice take off! :) Wish to see a bit more light under the wing just to balance the lighting of the overall image. Perhaps I would try and remove the left branch. The crop is a little tight behind the tail for my taste (that is if there is a crop). Is it full frame?

Sharp, and you caught the raised wing lift-off perfectly. Like Akos, I wish that the underwing was better lit.

Where did you make this image?

Great pose, light angle would have been nice from behind you and left. Sharp and nice detail. Thanks for sharing!

We took it at Lake Kissimmee on an air boat tour. Thanks for the feedback.
