You sure your indian name is not "Coyote"?

The habitat nicely frames the coyote here. The red on the tail and the nose nicely sets off the coat. A very nice healthy looking animal here. Also looking straight at and sort of past you is a bonus.

Agree that the habitat works extremely well here. Getting the layers of grass to brush to bushes plus the transitioning of light to dark adds depth to the image.

I like this one better then the one posted a few weeks back and that one was good.

Steve, you sure have a way with these coyotes. I have no nits at all here. The comp, pose and light are all excellent, and again you have done the magic with the layered, multi-colored grasses. The coat texture on this critter is very nicely captured.

Super comp, and the coyote is framed nicely around the foliage. I like how he stands out against the lighter area too. Great image Steve.

Beautiful light and detail on this one Steve... I like the overall composition and inclusion of the environment. Great stuff!

Grady, thanks for the comments. I've been called many names but coyote is not one of them. I'll add it to the list :). As for the condition of this animal, it was one of the healthiest looking ones I've ever seen.

John I., thanks for the comments. I'm fortunate to have some open space to roam and getting to see these guys on a regular basis gets me some good opportunities. Now if I can just get a pic of one of those mountain lions whose tracks I keep finding.

Robert, Stuart, and John B., thanks for the comments as well.
