I started off with an image of a Hooded Merganser on ice before take-off. I then added the reflection and the snow-I tried to blur the reflection since it is a reflection on ice.

That made me smile! Good thinking with the reflection and I love the snow - just the right amount. Don't get much ice in my part of the world. ;)

Skating indeed. The forward posture is perfect. He looks ready for the compulsory eights! Clever creation, Denise-how did you manufacture the uniform snow?

    John, it's easy OPEN IMAGE
    LAYER>NEW>LAYER
    SCREEN LAYER MODE
    FILL LAYER W/ BLACK
    FILTER>SKETCH>GRAPHIC PEN settings stroke-6 lght/dk 92 direction vertical
    GAUSSIAN BLUR
    ADJUST OPACITY W/ SLIDER

These were my settings but I set them up in an action awhile ago-so I may have fine-tuned them while creating the action. Should be able to adjust.
